Comment on BNSF profits and revenue lag railway’s overall traffic growth (updated) by VINCENT R SAUNDERS https://www.trains.com/trn/news-reviews/news-wire/bnsf-profits-and-revenue-lag-railways-overall-traffic-growth/#comment-105832 Fri, 28 Feb 2025 03:57:06 +0000 https://www.trains.com/?post_type=trn&p=222654#comment-105832 In reply to John Rice.

J B Hunt would probably be the ones purchasing BNSF, not the other way around. JBH has the leverage by shear volume. Were they to tell BNSF to take a hike there would be bloodshed in Omaha and the man we called “Rat Face”, Able, would be the one shedding the blood…

He is the one that said, “Utilities (and Railroads) won’t make you rich but they will keep you rich…” And as long as BNSF does what J B Hunt tells them to do, that will continue to happen… Many, if not all of the other class 1’s all wish they were privately held as well, then they could tell Wall Street to go do something physically impossible!

I don’t think your beloved Democrats are any better off. People are starting to think and act with their pocketbooks and politicians of any ilk would be wise to pay attention and listen to what they have to say irregardless of political ideology! Right now the political climate would say the Democrats are the ones who should be looking over their shoulders…
